DACH engineering hire

Hire agentic AI developers for DACH scale-ups — LangGraph + MCP, production-grade.

Most "agentic AI" candidates have shipped a LangChain demo. We shortlist the 3–5 in the DACH-relevant CEE pool who have stood up real long-running agents under real production load — Scheinselbstständigkeit and DSGVO posture handled by default, in 7 business days.

Scheinselbstständigkeit handled

Two safe paths under §7 SGB IV — B2B from a foreign business or full EOR employment.

Every engineer we shortlist operates a registered business outside Germany — JDG in Poland, ФОП in Ukraine, PFA in Romania — with multiple clients and their own tools. §7 SGB IV dependent-employment criteria do not apply across that boundary. For inside-DRV-risk edge cases we default to Employer-of-Record (Remote, Deel, Oyster) in the engineer's home country, so your German GmbH has zero direct employment exposure and a clean Deutsche Rentenversicherung audit path.

DSGVO & EU AI Act compliant by design

Human-in-the-loop is the default, not a retrofit.

Every shortlist is reviewed and signed off by a human recruiter before delivery. We sign a Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag (AVV / DPA) with every engagement, candidate data sits in EU regions (Frankfurt, Dublin), candidates are notified up-front that AI is used, logs are retained for 5 years, and quarterly bias audits run by default. Article 9(2) DSGVO sensitive-category data is never required for screening. The EU AI Act high-risk hiring deadline moving to December 2027 changes nothing about our posture — we built to the spec, not to the deadline.

25–30% Personalberatung → 15% success fee

A senior CEE agentic AI developer saves €22–32K vs DACH-local hiring, every year of the engagement.

Berlin/Munich senior agentic-AI market median is €100–130K base. Personalberatung 25% on placement = €25–32.5K per hire. Recruo 15% success fee on a €58–80K CEE-equivalent total-comp = €8.7–12.0K fee. Year-1 fee delta: €13–20K. Year-2-onwards delta on total comp: €28–50K/yr.

What a placement actually costs

Worked example, senior agentic AI developer into a Munich enterprise SaaS (placed 2026-Q1) building tool-using customer-success agents. Target: €110K + 22% employer side = €134K/yr fully loaded. Actual: CEE senior at €70K B2B from Poland. Recruo fee: €10.5K. Personalberatung alternative: €27.5K. Year-1 client delta: €81K saved.

DACH-specific hiring context

Why DACH agentic-AI demand concentrates on production miles

The gap between "shipped a LangChain demo" and "operates a long-running agent in production" is enormous, and DACH buyers have learned this faster than most markets. The first wave of agentic features in DACH enterprise SaaS (2024–early 2025) shipped against demo-grade candidates and quietly underperformed. The 2026 hiring bar is "show me an agent that has handled 100K+ runs in production with documented failure modes and recovery paths."

CEE agentic depth: the engineers we shortlist have stood up tool-using agents on Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, MCP, AutoGen, and CrewAI in production — not as demos but as features customers depend on. The 80th-percentile candidate has built at least one agent that gracefully degrades to a deterministic fallback when the model misbehaves, and at least one that catches its own loops via budget controls before they become outages.

DACH-specific control patterns: the EU AI Act high-risk classification kicks in if the agent decides employment, financial-services access, or essential-infrastructure routing. Our DACH agentic shortlists are pre-screened for fluency in keeping agent autonomy explicitly outside the high-risk envelope where possible, and explicitly inside the documented Article 9 risk-management system where it has to be inside.

Scheinselbstständigkeit posture for agentic developers is identical to other senior AI roles: §7 SGB IV criteria fail for cross-border B2B with a registered foreign business and multiple clients. AÜG does not apply across borders. EOR via Remote / Deel / Oyster removes the §7 question entirely if the engagement pattern leans toward inside-employment. Our DACH recruitment agency parent page covers both shapes.

When does a DACH team actually need a dedicated agentic developer vs an LLM generalist? Honest answer from a Series A/B perspective: at <30 engineers and one production LLM feature, an LLM engineer covers the ground. Past 30 engineers and 2+ tool-using agents in production, a dedicated agentic developer is the right hire. Below that threshold the generalist is more cost-effective.

Time-to-hire

Recruo: 7 business days median to shortlist

DACH market median: 120 days to hire (DACH agentic / autonomous-agent roles)

Work-authorisation patterns

  • Polish, Romanian, Czech, Slovak, Bulgarian, Hungarian: full intra-EU work rights via B2B or EOR.
  • Ukrainian: §24 AufenthG temporary protection through March 2027, or B2B from Ukraine / Poland.
  • Full DACH employment via EOR (Remote, Deel, Oyster) at 11–15% overhead.
  • Blue Card EU for non-EU non-Ukraine candidates: 12–16 weeks + ~€8K legal.

Seniority mix

DACH agentic-AI placements skew strongly senior: 10% mid, 65% senior, 25% staff/lead. The role is structurally senior — control-flow design, multi-step error recovery, and tool-use safety all require judgement, not just code.

Remote setup

100% remote-first. CEE timezone overlap with DACH is full 8 hours. Home-office + backup power verified pre-shortlist.
